klSOLUTlUN UF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
ANSON UEREGO
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WH~Rt::AS, Anson OeRego has sened the City of Palo Alto in the
Publ;c Works Department, Parks and Open Space D1vision for a total of
28 years of continuous service, beg1nning on December 3,1956, as a
broundskeeper, from August 1, 1958, as a Gardener, from March 6, 1963,
as a Parks Foreman, and finally since June 1971, as Park Maintenance
Supervisor; and
WH£REAS, Anson DeRego has pursued his duties with diligence,
throughness and conscientousness; and
WHEREAS, a recent accomplishment has been successful
implementation of a program of selected park maintenance contracting
with service and fiscal benefit to the City; and
WHEREAS, Anson OeRego's through knowledge of his job and
administrative abilities have helped give Palo Alto the reputation it
holds as a City with beautiful and safe parks facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the
meritorious service of Anson UeRego.
NOWil THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Palo Alto hereby commends the outstanding public service of Anson
ueRego and records its appreciation, as well as the appreciation of
the citizens of this community, for the service and contribution
rendered during his 28 years of employment with the City.
