RlSOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
[X~RESSING APPRECIATION TO ~UEENE TAKOOMY AMIRIAN
FOR UUTSTANUlNG PUBLIC SERVICE
IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CULTURAL CE~TER
WHEREAS, Queene Tahoomy Amirian has unself;shly devoted her
time, energies, and talents to the creation and development of the
Palo Alto Cultural Center (1961-70) and as a member of the Mayor's
Citizens' Advisory Committee on Future Uses of Existing City Hall and
Site (196€-68); and
WHERE.AS. her unceas1 ng efforts have led to a greater under-
stand1 ng of the importance of the cultural arts as enhancing and vital
to the life of the community and to the creative activities of its
citizens, and have stimulated the establishment of the Cultural Center
as a community resource and support facility for the arts in the City
of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto deeply appreciates the special
contributions which she has made to the cultural life of the City of
Palo Alto and of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to recognize the service
of ~ueene Tahoomy Amirian.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Couhcf 1 of the City of
Palo Alto hereby gratefully records 1ts appreciation. as _.ell as the
appreciation of the citizens of the community. for the outstanding
public service rendered by Queene Tahoomy Amfr1an.
