RESOLUTION NO. 6248 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA.LO ALTO uES!GNATING THE CHIE:" HUILDING 0Fl:4'ICIAL AS COORDI- NATOR FOR ALL DEVELOPMENT PERMITS WHERfAS, effective January 1, 1984, SB992 amended t~e Government Code and Public Resources Code to require that cities must provide for coordination of review and decision making by a single administrative entity and cities must provice information on proposed changes in plan- ning laws to an applicant who requests such information~ and WHEREAS, the City wishes to set up a system for implementing the new law. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The Chief B1..1ilding Official, or his or her designee, shall be the responsible administrative entity that coordinates the review and decision making and provides information regarding the status of all applicati.ons and permits for developl\1ent, pursuant to Government Code Section 65913.3. SECTION 2. The Municipal Fee Schedule is amended to provide that a fee shall be charged for all applicants for development permits who request notice of proposed changes in the City's Comprehensive Plan, a specific plan, zoning ordinances or or-dinances affecting building or grading permits, pursuant to Government Code Section 65945. SECTION 3. The Council finds that this is not a project under the California Environmental Oual ity Act, and therefore, no environmental impact lssessment is necessary.
