RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS MADE AVAILALE THROUGH STATE
GENERAL FUNDS FOR THE •pALO ALTO CAREER CRIMINAL
APPRE:HENSION PROGRAM•
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to continue a certain pro-
ject designated •Palo Alto Career Criminal Apprehension Program• to be
funded in part from funds made a';·ailable through State General Funds
for the period April ls 1984, to September 30, 1985, as authorized by
Chapter 1292 of the 1982 Statutes fo:t' the Palo Alto Career Criminal
Apprehension Program, administered by the Off ice of Criminal Justice
Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION t. The City of Palo Al to accepts the grant funds made
available through State General Funds for the Palo Alto Career Criminal
Apprehension Program.
SECTION 2. The City of Palo Alto agrees to provide all matching
funds required for said project, including any extension or amendment
thereof, under the Career Criminal Apprehension Program and the rules
and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required
thereby.
SECTION 3. That grant funds ~aceived hereunder shall not be used
to supplement law enforcGment expenditures controlled by the City.
SECTION 4. The City Manager, or his designee, is designated as
the official representative of the City of Palo Alto and is authorized
on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law
Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Palo Al to the attached Grant Award for law enforcement
purposes, including any extension or amendments thereof.
SECTION 5.. The Council finds that this project will have no
significant environmental impact.
