RESOLUTION NO. 6229
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CIT'i OF PALO ALTO
EXTENDING THE TC:MPORARY NON-PARK USE OF THE m:DI-
CA'fED 0. 956 ACRE PARCEL ON THE ARASTRA PROPERTY' J:o'OR
UP TO ONE YEAR
WHEREAS, on October 5, 1981, the Counc i 1 adopted Ordinance No.
3305 dedicating 432.781 acres of the Arastra Property for park pur-
poses including a house on a 0.956 acre parcel; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance permits temporary residential non-park
purposes on the 0.956 acre portion on an annual basis through November
5, 1986; and
WHEREAS, ultimate use of the residence on the Arastra Property has
not been determined; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the city to extend said
non-park use for up to one year pending a long-term decision by the
City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Palo Alto does hereby ex-
tend the temporar}'· non-park use for that portion of the Arastra Prop-
erty described in E!xhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein,
for up to one year from the date of this Resolution.
SECTION 2. The house located on said parcel shall be used only
for temporary residential use and any such continued use beyond one
year from the date of this Resolution shall be permitted only by a
further extension evidenced by a resolution adopted by this Council.
SECTION 3. The Council finds that the project is categorically
exempt from the requirements of the California Quality Control Act and
no environmental assessment is necessary.

feet; thence N 87°19 1 3911 W, 135.00 feet, mor~ or less, to the true
point of beginning, containing 0.956 acres, more or less.
