WHlREAS, Fred s. Eyerly served the City of Palo Alto as
Councilmember from July 1, 1975 to December 31, 1983; and
WHEREAS, Counci lmemoer Eyerly served as Mayor of Pa lo Alto
f rorn January 1, 1982 to December 31, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Eyerly has given unselfishly of his
time and talents to provide effective leadership on behalf of the
total community; and
WHEREAS, Counci 1rnember Eyerly has represented the City of
Palo Alto as delegate to the Northern California Power Agency {NCPA)
from 1975 to 1983 and served as Chairman of NCPA during 1980/81; and
WHEREAS, during his service on the Council, Fred Eyerly
represented the City of Palo Alto at numerous State, regional, County
and local meetings; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of
Councilmember Eyerly the City of Palo Alto has continued to occupy a
position of eminence 1n terms of the quality of services provided to
its citizens; and
WHEIH:.AS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the
meritorious service of Councilmernber Fred S. Eyerly.
NOW, THEREFORE, Bt IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby commends
Fred ~. Eyerly and records
apprecidtion of the citizens
rendered and contributions made
the outstanding public service of
its appreciation, as well as the
of this community, for the service
during his term on the Council.
