RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAU> ALTO
OPPOSING SENATE CONSTITttrIONAL AMENDME;NT NO. 2

WHEREAS, senate Constitutional Amendment No. 2 (SCA-2) has bP.en
introduced in the Stat~ Legislature, approved by the St~te Senate, and
is presencly before the State Assembly1 and
WHEREAS, SCA-2 would deprive local government of the right to enact or
amend any firearms controls; and
WHEREAS, SCA-2 would take away the ri9ht of our legislators to pass ~ny
laws in the area of firearms and handgun controli
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows~
The Council opposes State Constitutional Amendment No. 2 and urges its
defeat in the Legislature.
