~£SOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL UF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSlNG APPRECIATION TO
ALLAH A. BOWRA UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEKEAS, Allan A. Bowra ret1red on November 18, 1983, as
a po11ce officer after 25 years of continuous service with the
Palo Alto Police Department; anrt
WHEREAS, Allan A. Bowra maintained an overall high level
of productivity and attention to detail; and
WHEREAS, Allan A. Bowra was promoted to the rank of
sergeant in Oecember 1966, and lieutenant 1n December 1969; and
WHEREAS. Lieutenant Bowra has given unselfishly of his
time and talent to provide outstanding leadership for the pol1'e
department; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Bowra has pursued his dut1es w1th
dignity, enthusiasm, thoroughness, common sense, fairness and
courtesy; and
WHEREAS, the City Councn is proud of hfs work
performance and apprec1at;ve of his efforts and ded1cat1on.
MOW, THEREFORE, BE 1 T RESOLVED THAT the Counc1 l of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciation of
the c1tizens of this community for faithful service rendered to
the City and extends to Allan A. Bowra its sincere best wishes
for a long and happy retirement.
