RESOLUTION NO. 6185
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF fHE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO FRANKLIN D. ELIA FOR BIS
YEARS OF SERVICE TO TSE CITY
WHEREAS, Franklin D. Elia has served the City of Palo Alto
for three and one-half years as a Senior Assistant City Attorney
from June 1980 to October 1983; and
WHEREAS, Franklin D. Blia has given unselfishly of his tim~
and talent to provide outstanding legal counsel to the City
Council ; and j-·
WHEREAS, Franklin D. Elia has served to defend the City of
Palo Alto with distinction in the trial courts end has counselled
numerous City depat't11ents and divisions with professional skill
and competence; and
WHEREAS, Franklin D. Elia has pursued his duties with
dignity, enthusias•, thoroughness, common sense, fairness, and
courtesy; ~nd
WHEREAS,. through the efforts and contributions of Franklin
Blia, the City continues to occupy a position of eminence in terms
of the quality of services provided to its citizens by the City
Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS,. the City of Palo Alto desire& to recognize the meri-
torious aervice of Pranklin D. Blia1
NOW, TBEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto bereby co .. ends the outstanding public service of
Pranklin D. Blia and records its appreciation as well as th~
appreciation of the citizens of this co .. unity for the service and
contribution rendered during his tenure with the City.
