RESOLUTION. NO. 6161
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AGREEMENT RELATING TO THE H~..AS-KINGS RIVER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA),
Sacramento Municipal Utilities District and several southern
California cities have entered into a Haas-Kings River Licensing
Application Agreement to pursue a joint applicatio~ with the Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for a license for the constructed
Haas-Kings River Project No. 1988; and
WHEREAS, NCPA has auth~rized the filing of such a joint applica-
tion with the FERC; and
WHEREAS, Palo Alto is actively pursuing participation in the
Haas-Kings River Project1 and
WHEREAS, NCPA has proposed a Second Phase Agreement with
City of Palo Alto and other NCPA members for relicensing of the Baas-
Kings River Project:
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Al to does RE-
SOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The •Agreement for Financing of Planning and Devel-
opment Activities for Relicensing of the Baas-Kings River Project• by
and between the Northern California Power Aggency and those of its
members who execute such agreement is hereby approved and the Mayor
is authorized to execute said agreement on behalf ~f the City.
