RESOLUTION NO. 6155
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF TDE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING A DETERMINATION BY LOT OF THE ORDER OF
CANDIDATES' NAMES ON THE BALLOT
NOVEMBER 8, 1983, ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has scheduled a General Municipal
Election for November a, 1983, to elect four Councilmembers; and
WBERE~~S, Article VII, Section 3, o.f the Charte:c empowers the City
Council to determine the order of listing the candidates' names on the
ballot by lot:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1.. The order of listin9 the candidates' names on the
ballot lor the November 8, 1983, City of Palo Alto election shall be
determined by lot on September 12, 1983. The City Clerk is directed to
arrange such procedure.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that none of the provisions of this
resolutlon""W!Tl have a significant adverse environmental impact.
