RESOLUTION NO. 6153
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY FOR PURPOSE OF TREE
REMOVAL AND PLANTING IN FOUR AREAS OF PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, this Council has considered and approved a tree manage-
ment program and now wishes to authorize City staff to accept a grant
from the California Department of Forestry for tre_ removal and
planting:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RE-
SOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes the City staff to accept
grant funds from the California Department of Forestry for the pur-
pose of tree removal and planting at Robles Park, the Bowling Green,
West Bayshore and El Camino Medians.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his des ig nee, is h.ereby ap-
pointed as the official representative of the City of Palo Alto and
is authorized to complete such documents as necessary for the Depart-
ment of Forestry.
SECTION 3,. The Council finds that this project will have no
significant environmental impact.
