RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL Of TH£ CITY Of PALO AL TO

PALO A~TU TREE AUV!SURY TASK FORCE

suµport I 1 f e in our cOOJnun i ty; and
WHEKtAS, it is vital to the quality of our environment to encourage the
participation ot concerned and knowledgeable citizens in environmental affairs; and
WHtKEAS, the Palo Alto Tree Advisory Task Force members Lawrence Booth, Joyce
uuckstad, Nancy Hardesty, Jean Jones, Eric.a Prince, Allan Reid, Joseph Wllliamson,
Albert Wilson nave served the people generously by giving freely of their time and
talents; and
wHrntA::>, Lawrence Booth served as Chairman of the Palo Alto Tree Advisory Task
Force; and
WHt.REAS, the Palo Alto Tree Advisory Task Force is c001nended for continuing the
legacy of our urban forest and for sowing the seeds of its future.
NOW, THE.~EFORE, LE.T IT 8£ RESOLVED, that the City Council of the C1ty of Palo Alto
wishes to express 1ts gratituae and appreciation to the Palo Alto Tree Advisory Task
Force co111Dittee members Joyce Uuckstad, Nancy Hardesty, Jean Jones, Erica Prince, Allan
Reid, Joseph Williamsont Albert Wilson and to Chairman Lawrence Booth, for volunteering
their time and expertise for the benefit of their community and for accomplishing the
formation of o. Comprehensive Tree Management Plan, and encourage their participation in
other citizens groups, such as the Tree Colllllittee, which enhance our environment.
