RESOLUTION NO. 6116
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AGREEMENT RELATING TO GEYSERS TRANSMISSION
FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) has proposed
the construction of additional geothermal power plants in the Known
Geotherma 1 Resources Area located in Lake and Sonoma Counties (the
Geyser~): and
WHEREAS, NCPA proposes to build transmission facilities out of the
Geysers: and
WHEREAS, Palo Alto is actively pucsuin9 participation in the
Geysers geothermal power plants; and
WHEREAS, Palo Alto will require transmission of such power: and
WHEREAS, NCPA has proposed a Second Phase Agreement with City of
Palo Alto and other NCPA members to construct Geysers transmission
facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. The •Agreement for Financing of Planning and Licensing
Activities for Construction of Geysers Transmission Facilities" by and
between the Northern California Power Agency and those of its members
who execute such agreement is hereby approved and the Mayor is autho-
rized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
