RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
OF INTENTION TO M/l.t\:-'. CHA~GES

AND MODIFICATIONS
PARKING PROJECT
The Council of the City of Palo Alto, does RESOLVE as
follows:
SECTION 1 .-That the public interest, convenience and
necessity require, and that it is the intention of this Council to
make the following changes and modifications in the proceedings
under and pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 2411, adopted by
this Council on March 2, 1952, to wit:
a) Changes and modifications in the acquisitions and
improvements as follows:
The removal of all surface public park-
ing improvements to the 74-space public
.parking lot known as "Lot o•, located in
the City of Palo Al to and in the block
bordered by Alma Street, Lytton Avenue,
High Street and University Avenue, and
the development of the air rights over
said Lot Q by the construction thereon
of a 5 story structure containing 44 re-
sidential housing units, 805 square feet
of commercial retail space and the con-
struction of parking facilities consis-
ting of ground level parking and two
levels of below-street parking to pro-
vide 138 public parking spaces (of
.11hich, 22 spaces will be shared Le.
public parking on weekdays and private
residential parking evenings and week-
ends) and 44 private parking spaces, to-
gether with landscaping and all other
related appliances, appurtenances and
works necessary to complete said struc-
ture and parking facilities, all as
shown on plans and specifications there-
of as approved by the cit_;_, of Palo Alto
and on file in the Plam~ing Department
of said City of Palo Alto.
b) The costs of aforesaid work, including public
parking, and all incidental expenses relating thereto
shall be borne entirely by the developer thereof, A.K.
Properties, pursuant to agreements therefor between
said developer and the City of Palo Alto and the costs
relating to said parking improvements shall not be
borne by the University Avenue Parking District.

SECTION 2. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Monday, the 25th day
of April, 1983, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the regular
meeting place of this Council, Council Chambers, First Floor, Civic
Center, 250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California, are hereby
fixed as the time and place when and where this Council will con-
sider the matter of making said changes and modifications and hear
all protests and persons interested therein.
SECTION 3. Jean Diaz, Real Property Administrator of the City
of Palo Alto is hereby designated as the person t~ answer inquiries
regarding the protest proceedings to be had hereir,, and may be con-
tacted during regular off ice hours at Palo Al to Civic Center, 250
Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California, 94301, or by calling (415)
329-2472.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Palo Alto shall
cause a copy of this resolution to be published once in the
Peninsula Times Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation circu-
lated in the City of Palo Alto arad to be mailed to all property
owners within said Assessment District, said mailing and said pub-
1 icati~n to be at least ten (1u1 days before said day of hearing.

The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted
at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Palo Alto held
