RESOLUTION NO. 6093
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ~LTO
ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH STATE
GENERAL FUNt:S FOR THE •PALO ALTO CAREER CRIMINAL
APPREHENSION PROGRAM"
WBERBAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to continue a certain
project designated •Palo Alto Career C~iminal Apprehension Program• to
be funded in part frcm funds made available through State General Funds
for the period February l, 198J, to January 31, 1984, as authorized by
Chapter 1292 of the 1982 Statutes for the Palo Al to Career Criminal
Apprehension Program, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice
Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION l. The City of Palo Alto accepts the grant funds made
available throu9h State General Funds for the Palo Alto Career Criminal
Apprehension Program.
S~CTION 2. The City of Palo Alto agrees to provide all matching
funds required for said project, including any extension or amendment
thereof, under the Career Criainal Apprehension Program and the rules
and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required
thereby.
SECTION 3~ That grant funds r~ceived here~nder shall not be used
to supple•ent law enforcement expenditures controlled by the City.
SECTION 4. The City Manager, or his designee, is designated aa
the o7liclai representative of the City of Palo Alto and is authorized
on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law
Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and Js authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Palo Alto the attached Grant Award for law enforcement
purposes, including any extension or amendments thereof.
SECTION 5. The Council finds that this project will have no
significant environmental impact.
