RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ACCEPTING GR.~T FROM CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL FOR
CREATION LOCATION PROJECT OF TqE PALO ALTO CULTURAL
CENTER
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Cultural Center, a subdivision of the Palo
Alto Arts and Sciences Division, exists to provide high quality pro-
grams and activities which increase and enhance the public awareness
and appeciation of the visual arts; and
WHEREAS, the Creation Location project, developed by the Palo Alto
Cultural Center, is a participatory gallery offering intellectual and
hands-on experiences with th~ arts for the general publicJ and
WBEREASt the Califoria Arts Council (CAC) ~rtistie and Administra-
tive Development Program, which provides financial support to local
arts organizations for r ·~oject support, has agreed to assist the
Creation Location p~oject through a grant of matching fundsr and
WHEREAS, the City must accept this grant through formal action1
NON, THEREFORE, the Council of the City Of Palo Alto does RESOLVE

SECTION 1. The City of Palo Alto accepts a grant of Two Thousand
Three Bul'idred Eighty-five Dollars ($2,385.00) fro• the CAC Artistic and
Administrative Development Program to match funds expended by the Palo
Alto Cultural Center on the Creation Location project.
SECTION 2. The Creation Lo cat ion project vi 11 be conducted and
the grant monies expended in accordance with an 119reement nwnbered
AC-2662, entered into between the Palo Al to Cultural Center and tbe
Director of the CAC and dated O~tober 1, 19s2.
SECTION 3. The City Manaqer, or his designee, is designated ~~
the official representative of the City of Palo Alto and is authorized
to accept grant funds from the CAC Artistic and Administrative Develop-
ment Program and to complete such docwnents as are necessary to the
acceptance of such funda.
~ECTION 4. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that this
is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act, and,
therefore, no environmental impact assessment is necessary.
