RESOLUTION NO. 6086
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE USE OF 1983-84 COMMUNITY DEVELOT '°™T
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, on January 11, 1982, the City Council adopted a new
three-year Community Development Block Grant Plan ( 1982-83, 1983-84,
and 1984-85): and
WHEREAS, the 1983-84 Community Development Funds are proposed in
order to iMPlement the above plans and program; and
WHEREAS, potential uses of federal Community 09velopment Block
Grant funds have been evaluated in liqht of the needs of the community
and the reco11mendations and comraents of the Citizens' Advisory Commit-
tee and other interested citizensJ and
WHEREAS, the Financ4! and Public works Commi tttee and the City
Council have held advf:rt ised public: hearings on the proposed use of
1983-84 Con11unity Development Funds: and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this proqram to qive the highest
priority to activities which will benefit low/moderate income persons
and aid in the prevention or elimination of slUMs or blight,
NOW, 'l'BERBPOR!, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION l. The Council hereby .adopts the use of .983-84 Comaunity
Developement funds for tbe following programss
le Tenant/Landlord Information and Referral Service
2. Colorado Park Roofing
3. Housing Iaproveaent Program
4. Stevena..>n House Improve11ent
5. Shared Rousing Prograa
6. Senior Roee Repair
7. Senior Houainq Coan~eling
8. PABC -Contract Remunueration
9. Rental Housing Aequ1aition Program
10. New Rousing Development Fund
11. Fair &oQaing Services

13. YWCA -Child Care Isproveaents
14. Curb R.-p for Handicapped

SBCTION 2. The Council hereby authorizes staff to submit the
approprlat.e application foru for l983-84 Cosmunlty Dev•lopment funds,
with such aoney to be used u indicated in the adopted Co1111unity Devel-
opment Plan end Progru1 and hereby authorizes the Mayor, tbe City
Manager and otner: appropriete City officiala to sign the application
foras wherever necessary.
