RESOLUTION NO. 5979
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE PALO ALTO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a review and on
September 16, 1981, held a properly-noticed public hearing to consider
amendments to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council held a properly-noticed public hearing on
Ortober 26, 1981 and referred cne amendment back to the Planning
Commission for a report; and
WHF.REAS, the Planning Commission on Nove111ber 18, 1981 reported
back to the Council reg~rding this amendment.
NOW, THEF£FORE, the Coun~il of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1.

health, safety, and welfare require that certain
Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan set fo=th in Sect;on 2
SECTION 2. The Council hereby amends tre Palo Alto Comprehensive
Plan as follows:
"Land Use Plan Map
a. Change the land use designation of the area at
the southeast corrn~r of the Quarry-Arboretum
intersection from Major Institution/Special
Facilities to Open Space ••. Controlled Develop-
ment as shown on attached Exhibit "A""
SECTION 3. The Cound 1 hereby finds th.at the adoption of this
resoluti.on will not cause any significant environmental .impact.
