RESOLUTION NO. 5967
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE C!TY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE PALO ALTO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, the P 1 anning Commission has conducted a review and on
September 16, 1981, held a properly-noticed public hearing to consider
amendment of the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFCRE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto ooes RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION l. The Councj 1 finds that changed conditions and the
public inter~st, health, safety, and welfare require that certain
amendment to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan set forth in Section 2
hereof.
SECTION :. , 'j:he Council hereby amends the Palo Al to Comprehensive
P 1 an as follows:
"Land Use Pla1"> Mai.•
a. Change the land use designation of a stri~ of
land near El Camino Real from Major Institu-
tion/Special Facilities to Open Space .•• Con-
trolled Development as shown on attached
Exhibit "A";
b. Change the land use designation of the tri-
angular area at the northeast corner of the
Quarry-Arboretum intersection from Major In-
stitution/Special Facilities to Open Space •••
Controlled Development as shown on attached
Exhibit "B"."
SECTION 3. The Council hereby finds that the adoption of this
resolution will not cause any significant environmental impact.
