RcCOGNIZING THE Pit£SENC[ OF' ANO WLLCOMING TO rm. Cl fY OF PALO AL ro
OAXACA. OAXACA REPRESENTATIVES
WHEREAS, cultural exchange resulting from people-to-people corrmunication
is the foundation of the Sister City Program which attempts to further international
understanding; and
WHEREAS, Oaxaca pays its respect to Palo Alto by sending its representative
; and -----
WHEREAS, is welcomed to the City of Palo Alto and into the homes of
Pa1o Alto residents; and
WHEREP-.S, this cultural exchange participation exemplifies the mutual objective
of the two cities, that of attempting to promote and encourage and cultivate
understanding between the people of the two conmunities; and
WHEREAS, this exchange program has proven to be mutually beneficial;
NOW, THEREFORE the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1: That this Council re~ognizes the presence of, ---:::----:=" __ _
and welcomes to this conmunity from our Sister City of Oaxaca.
SECTION 2: That this Council on behalf of the people of Palo Alto expr~sses its
heartfelt appreciation to for his/her warm and significant contribution
to the Sister City program.
SECTION 3: That this Council honors and recognizes this exchange program as a
vital element in the perpetuation and continuation of this program.
