RESOLUTION NO. 5902
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEFERRED PAYMENT
REHABILITATION LOAN FUNDS TO SUPPLEMENT THE HOUSING
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM'S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, on February 12, 1979, the City Council of the City of
Palo Alto adopted the 1979-1982 Conununity Development Plan, the
Community Development Program and the Housing Assistance ~lanf and
WHEREAS, on December 8, 1980, said City Council approved funding
for the Housing Improvement Program in the sum of Two Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($200,000) to be funded from the City of Palo Alto
Community Development Block Grant Fundsf and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto now wishes to apply to the State
of California for Housing and Community Development Deferred Payment
Rehabilitation Loan Funds to supplement its existing Housing Improve-
ment Program funds; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of said State funds to make rehabili-
tation loans to low income Palo Alto residents that could not make
loan payments under the pre~ent program.
NOW,, THEREFORE, the Council of the City 0~ J?alo Al to does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Palo Al to hereby
authorizes the City Manager or his designated representative to sub-
mit the appropriate application form to the State of California for
its Community Development Deferred Payment Rehabilitation Loan Funds
and hereby authorizes the Mayor, the City Manager, or his designated
representatives to sign the r!ecessary documents to complete said
application.
SECTION 2. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that this
is not a project and, therefore, no environmental impact assessment
is necessary.
