THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this SIXTH day of ------

1982, by and between the State of California, acting through the
9, Department of Parks and ReCTeatlon, hereinafter called "STATE", and the City
10 of Palo Alto, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter
ll referred to as "CITY";

WHEREAS, under Section l(a) of Cnapter 945, Statutes of 1977, money
16 has been appropriated to plan and develop recre•tional trails In the East sly
17 Cor~idor of the county of Santa Clara, which includes portions of tha Master
lBl Plan of Trails and Paths far Santa Clara county located in the City of Palo
19 Alto; and

WHEREAS, STATE may, pursuant t~ Section 5074.1 of the Public
22 Resources Code, enter lnto contracts to provide fer the deVelopment and
23 operation of recreational trails; and
24 WHEREAS, STATE entered into a contract numbered 65-42-003 with the
26 CITY to develop, construct, operate, and maintain said recreation trail; and

l l WHEREAS, CITY has asked that the period for performance of said
21 services be extended, and it has been determined by STATE to be appropriate to
3 extend the period for performance under said contract;

5 NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed between the parties hereto as
6 follows:

Services on August 12, 1981, is amended as follows:
11 a. The date for completion of work in paragraph 6{b), page 5,
12 line 6, is amended from Novembel 30, 1982 to February 28, 1983.

b. The date in paragraph 6(c), page 5, line 10, tor refund to
STATE is amended from Nov~er 30, 1982 to March 30, 1983.
