RESOLUTION NO. 6071
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DESIGNATING A PORTION OF BYXBEE PARK AND THE CITY-O"tiNEO
BAYLANDS TO BE KNOWN AS HARRI~T MUNDY MARSH
WHEREAS, Harriet Mundy has unselfishly devoted her energies
a.1d financial support to the preservation of the Palo Alto bay-
lands: and
WHEREAS, her unceasing efforts have led to a clearer under-
standing of the importance of the baylands as a vital part of the
ecology of the San Francisco Bay, and the establisnment of the
baylands as a nature preserve for its productive marshes and wild-
1 ife: and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto deeply appreciates the singu-
lar contribution which she has m~de to this endeavor;
NCM, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RE-
SOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That certain marsh of Byxbee Park and City-owned
baylands as delineated and described in lxhibit •A" attached here-
to and shown as that shaded portion of the map attached hereto as
Exhibit •s•, is hereby named and shall hen,..eforth be known as The
Ba'!'riet Mundy Marsh, in grateful appreciation of Harriet Mundy' s
contribution to the City of Palo Alto.
