RESOLUTION OF TSE COUNCIL O~ THB CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMEJl1DING SC3EDULES R-1, R-1-FA, R-2, R-3, AND R-4
OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO UTILITIES RATES AND CHARGES
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 12.20.010 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code, Schedules R-1, R-1-FA, R-2, R-3 and R-4 (Domestic
Refuse Collection, Refuse Collection, Commercial Refuse Collec-
tion-Special Containers: Commercial Refuse Collection, Detachable
Containers and Special Refuse Collection) of the Palo Alto Otili-
t ies Rates and Char-3eS are hereby amended to read as proposed in
Sheets 127m, 128g, 1:~9m, 1309, 130.lq, and 13lk, attached hereto.
SECTION 2. Thu Council her~by finds thzit adoption of said
rates and the revenues derived therefrom shall be used only for
the purposes aet out in the Palo Al to City Charter, Article VII,
Section 2, entitled, •Public Utilities Revenue•. The adoption of
said rates is specif i.cally exempted from the requirements of CEOA
under Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(8).

This schedule applies to all refuse collection service.
TERRITORY:
Within the incorporated limits of the City of Palo Alto and on land
owned or 1-.ased by the City, located in Service Area 2.

rates will be detennined by the Contractor. In the event that the custo-
mer and Contractor cannot agree upon the charge, the Cfty Engineer shall
detennine a charge that he consi~ers to be just and reasonable and the
Contractor. fn such events shall pT"Ov1de the collection service at or
below the charge determined by the Cfty Engineer. The charge w111 be

Th;s schedule applies to service rendered by the Contractor upon
specific request of an owner or tenant of premises for the collection
of refuse that could not be removed by the regular collection service
because of the quantity or quality of the refuse. Building materials
and dirt are excluded from this service.
