RBSOLO'l'ION or THI COUNCIL OP TBIITY OP ~ALO ALTO
AMENDING SBCTIOM 1401 or THI MBRIT SYSTIM ROLES AND
REGULATIONS
The Council of the C~ty of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1401 of the Merit System Rules and Regulations
is amended to read AS follows:

by reference. That certain memorandum of agree-
ment dated May 24, 1982, by ~nd between the City of
Palo Alto and Local 715A, SBIO, APL-CIO, CLC, con-
sisting of a Pteamblll! and Articles I through XDI
with siz appendices attached thereto and incorpo-
rated therein for a tera co-encing May 1, 1982,
and expiring April 30, 1984, is hereby incorporated
into these Merit Syatea Rules and Regulations by
reference as though fully set forth herein. Said
aemorandua shall apply to all employees in classi-
fications represented by said Local 715A, SBIU,
APL-CIO, CLC, ezcept where specifically provided
otherwise herein.

any other provision of the Merit System Rules and
Requlations, this chapter will prevail over such
other provision as to eaployees represented by said
L<'cai 715A, SBIO, APL-CIO, CLC.·
SECTION 2. The changes provided for in this resol•ltion shall not
affect any right established or accrued, or any offense or act co .. it-
ted, or any penalty or forfeiture incurred, or any prosecution, suit,
or proceeding pendihg, or any judgaent rendered prior to the effective
date of this resolution.
SBCTIOB 3. The Coun~il finds that this is not a project under the
Californla"""liiiironaental Quality Act and, therefore, no ~nvironmental
i111pact asses&\'ent is ne~easary.
