WHEREAS, the California Water Pollution Control Assoctat1on is a
state-wide organization, composed of wastewater treatment plant
operators, engineers, and other environmental professionals; and
WHEREAS, each year the Assoc1 ati on annually bestows one "Operator
of the Year" award from over 4,000 certified wastewater treatment
plant operatcrs in the state; and
WHEREAS t nominations for the award are received through ·"i\e 14
lccal sections who each nom1nate one candid3te; and
WHEIH.AS, the selection of Bill Miks for this honor is als~
reflective of the high esteem that the Water Pollut1on Control
industry has for the standard of operations and the clllibre of ';he
staff at the Palo Alto Water Quality Control Plant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Counci 1 of the C1 ty of
Palo Alto h~reby gratefully records its appreciation =~d
congratulations, as well as the appreciation of the community, for the
outstanding achievements Jnd public service rendered by 8111 M1ks and
the rest of the staff at the Regio~al Water Quality C~ntrol Plant.
