RE~OLUTION OF THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY CF PALO ALTO
RECOGNIZING THE OUTSTANDING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE 1981-82
PAf.O AL TO HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS 1 TENNIS TEAM
WHEREAS. tne Palo Alt:> H1 gh School Girls 1 Tenn1 s Team finished the season w; th an
outstanding record of 22 wins and 1 loss; an~
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto High School Girls' Tennis Team through outstanding
1ndhidual .-.~ te• effort won the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League title with 8
wins and l loss; and
WHEREAS, they won the Regional by defeating Saratoga and Woodside High Schools;
and
WHEREAS, they t; n1 shed the season 1 :'I superb f ash1 on by def eat i ng the rumber one
ranked team, Burl1nga111e High ScN>ol, in the Central Coast Sect1~n Tournament.
~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that the Ccuncil of the C'ity of Palo Alto aoes
resolve as f~llows:
Section 1. That the Councii recogn1zes the ac.hievment of the Palo Alto High
School G~rls' Ten~1s Te ... in particular 1ts success in winning the Santa Clara Valley
