COUNCIL or TIF TY OP PALO ALTO ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGt: STATE GENERAL FUNOS FOR THE •PALO ALTO CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSIC>i-t PaOGRAM• WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to undertake a certain pro- ject designated •palo Alto Career Criminal Apprehension Pro~ram• to be fuaded in part from funds made available through State General Funds F~ 81/82 as authorized by Chapter 1167 of the 1978 Statutes for th~ Palo Alto Career Criminal Apprehension Program, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP). NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The City of Palo Al to accepts the grant funds made available through State General Funds for the Palo Alto Career C~iminal Apprehension Program. SECTION 2. The City of ;dlo Alto agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project, including any exte~'lsion or amendment thereof, under the Career Criminal Apprehension Program· and the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. SECTION 3. That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplement law enforr.ement expenditures controlled by the City. SECTION 4. The City Manager, or-his desi9nee, ls designated as the o"ll'TC1al representative of the City of Palo Alto and is authorized on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Palo Alto the attacred Grant Award for law enforcement purposes, including any extensions or z.mendments thereof. SECTION 5. The Council finds that this project will have no sig- nificant environmental impact.
