RESOLUTION ~F THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION TO
ASSEMBLYMAN BYRON D. SHER
FOR CXJTSTANOING PUBLlf. SERVICE

WHEREAS, thP. City of Palo Alto as well as other Peninsula cities are cof'cerr 1
about regaining the1r State Senate representation; and
WHEREAS, A•semblyman Byron o. Sher sponsored legislation which wocld have
restored that representation without nee<! for it to be redressed through the ji.;di ci al
system; and
WHEREAS, Assembl.)'man Byron o. Sher 1 s efforts represent an occasion of a
legislator P'Jtting the welfdre of his constituents aheed of partisan political
considerations.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED, that the Councii of the City of Palo Alto
her~by conner.~s the outstanding public service of Byron o. Sher and records its
appreciation, as well as the appreciation of the citizens of this community, for the
ser~ice rendered.
