WHEREAS, the City of l"alo Al to desires tn undertake a certain
project designated •palo Alto CoWllunity Crime Prevention Center• to be
fun6ed in part from funds made available through State General FundJ FY
81/82 as authorized by Chapter 1167 of the 1978 Statutes for the Palo
Alto Community C~i•e P~evention Center, administerea by the Office of
Criminal Justice Planning (here~fter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, TBBREPORE, ~he Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. Th~ City of Palo Al to accepts the gran~ funds made
available through State General Funds for the Palo Alto Coanunity Crime
Prevention Center.
SECTION 2. That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used
to supplement lav enforcement expenditures controlled by the City.
SBCTIOR 3. The City Manager, or hia desig~ee, is designated as
the official represeritative of the City of Palo Al to and is authorized
on its behalf to subait the attached Applicat.ion for Grant for Law
Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Pal,, Alto the attached Grant Award for law enforcement
~urposes, including any extensions or aaend~ents the7eof.
SECTION 4. The Council finds that this project will ~a~e no sig-
nificant environmental impact.
