RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESS I ;1G APPRECIATION TO RAY L. WILBUR
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF
THE HUMAN RELAYIONS COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Ray L. Wilbur served on the Haynr's Citizens Advisor• Conrnittee
in 1963-64 that recommended the establishment of the Human Relatfo~~ Conwni!sion;
and
WHEREAS, Ra) L. Wilb~r served two one-year terms and one three·y,ar tenn
from January 1, 1968 to December 31, 1973; and
WHEREAS, Ray L. Wilbur served ~s Chairper-on during 1972 and 1973: and
WHEREAS, Ray L. Wilbur has served the Ci :y of Palo Alto as a member of
the Human Relations Conrnisslon from January 1, 1979 to January 31, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Ray L.. Wilbur has served as Chairperso~ from January 1, 1980 to
December 31, 1981 and was reelected Chairperson from January 1, 1981 through
January 31, 1982; and
WHEREAS, R'"'v L. Wi lb•Jr has given unselfishl). of his time, tal~~ts and
leadership abilities to assist in guiding the growth and development of the
City in the best interest of the total con1T1unity; and
WHEREAS, Ray L. Wilbur aas 1T.ade a significant personal contribution to
the comnu'lity L.hrol•gh his diligent and conscientious efforts while serving
as a member of th~ Human Relations CtATimission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to recognize the service of Ray
L. Wilbur.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Palo Alto
hereby gratefully record its appreciation, as well as the apprecfation of the
citizens of the coirmunity, for outstanding public service rendered by Ray L.
Wilbur.
