RESOLUTION NO. 5994
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
SPECIFYING CONDITIONAL APPROVAL OF "PAYMENT AGENT
AGREEMENT" WITH PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH
COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto has C'Onsidered
the recommendation of the Finance and Public Works Committee;
NOW~ THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. In addition to any other te~ms, conditions or
modif 1cat1ons which the Council may impose by motion or otherwise
on its approval of that certain "PAYMENT AGENT AGREEMENT" between
Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company and the City of Palo Alto
designating the City as the telephone company's agent for accept-
ing customer payments of telephone bills, the Director of Utili-
ties shall not agree to extend the initial term of the agreement
pursuant to Paragraph l(a) of said agreement without the express
approval of the Council.
