fHSOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE VOLUNlEERS OF THE
"MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE" COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION FOR
OUTSTANUlNG PU~LlC ~EHVICE IN TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF LOCAL RAILWAY DEPOTS
WHEREAS, the environment of the nation•s railway stations in the
City of Palo Alto and the County of Santa Cl~ra is rapidly deteriorat-
ing and has long been a matter of concern to the community; and
WHEREAS:; the financial

their time and worked tirelessly to improve the California Avenue
Station in Palo Alto and stations in Mountain View and Sunnyvale; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Lin organized and implemented "More Than Meets
the Eye" as a volunteer community organization, willing to take respon-
sibility for the maintenance of local railway depots in particular and
public common property in general; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Lin has been assisted in the endeavor by Mark
Vernon, Steve Christensen, Mike Rairden, Jim Replogel, Manny Febre, and
Cecil Smith;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION l. The Council of the City of Palo Alto states its
a ppreci at ion to a1 l volunteers and participants who helped to make the
"More Than Meets the Eye 11 Program an outstanding success, and iri
particular, recognizes Kenneth Lin and thanks him for his leadership
role in this volunteer effort.
