RESOLUTION NO. 5991
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDE~ING WEED NUISANCE ABATED
WHEREAS, this Council did on January 11, 1982, adopt its Resolu-
tion No. 5984 declaring weeds to be a nuisance ana setting January 25,
1982, at 7:30 p.m., in the City Hall as the time and place for a hear-
ing of objections to the proposed destruction or removal of weeds; and
WHEREAS, in accordance wi+-'1 said Resolut.ion Noe 5984, notice of
such hearing was given in the manner provided by law, as appears from
the affidavits on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, interested persons appeared or filed written ob-
jections against said procePdings or any part thereof, all persons
desiring to be heard were given an opportunity t:.o be heard, and all
matters and things pertaining to said weed abatement were fully heard
and considered by this Council.
NOW., THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. Any and all objections to the proposed destruction or
removal of such weeds be, and each of them hereby is, overruled.
SECTION 2~ The Director of Public Works hereby is ordered to
abate such nuisance, or cause the same to be abated by means of Con-
tract No. 3820 for that purpose with the County of Santa Clara, and as
provided in Chapter 8.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and to do all
things necessary and authorized in said chapter.
SECTION 3. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that none
of the provls1.ons of this resolution will have a significant adverse
environmental impact.
