IMCORSI•G A PROPOSAL FOR COUllTY COIUHD1ITY DEVELOPllDT
BLOCK GRANT PUllDING
UHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors for the County of Santa Clara
adopted a Community DeV1'!lopment Plan, a Communtiy Development Program
and a Housing Assistance Plan for the County of Santa Clara for
1979-821 and
WHEREAS, the Finance and Public Works Committee and the City
Council have advertised public hearings to review proposals eligible
for both City and County Community Di:'!velopment Block Grant fundingi
and
WHEREAS, the proposals eligible for County funding are consistent
with the County's Community Development Plan, with the Co111nunity
Development Program and with the Housing Assistance Plan: and
WHER!!:AS, it is the intent of these programs to give the highest
priority to activities which will benefit low/moderate income persons
and aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight;
NOW, THER~FORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTIO'-' 1. The Council hereby endorses the Rental Housing Ac-
quisition Program proposal submitted to the County of Santa Clara for
Community Devel~f"l\ent Block Grant Funding.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that none of the provisions of this
resolution will have a significant environmental impact.
