RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSIN6 APPRECIATION TO CAROLYN GEORGE
FOR OUTSTANDIN6 PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER ~F
THE HISTORIC RESOURCES BOARD
WHEREAS, Carolyn George has served the City of Palo Alto as a member
of the Historic Resources Board from June 1, 1984 to May 31, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn George has been an active member of the Historic
Resources Board, including serving as Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman
during her tenure on the Board; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn George has actively participated in Palo Alto's
Advance Planning Committee for the City's Centennial; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn George has unselfishly contributed her interest in
historic preservation to Board delibe~ations, and has assisted the Board in
articulating its positions on this subject; and
WHfREAS, the City of Palo Alto wisbes to acknowledge and thank
Carolyn Geor·:ie for her personal c011111itment to the connunity and interest in
historic preservatior1 and for her sign·;ficant personal efforts and substantial
dedication as a member of the Historic Resources Board;
NOii, THEREFORE, Lt-Y IT Bf RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends it sincere appreciation and
the appreciation of the c0111111Unity to Carolyn George for her faithful and
excellent service rendered to the City.
