RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO ORDERING
THE SUMMARY VACAT10N OF EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES
RENDERED SURPLUS AS A RESULT OF THE GREEN ACRES II UNDERGROUND PROJECT.
WHEREAS, as a result of an underground utility conversion project,all
utility services previously provided by rear yard utility poles have been
relocated to front yard underqround services, and the rear lot pole line
easements have therefore become surplus and:
WBBREAS 8 frOJA all evidence submitted to the council oi the city of Palo
Alto it is found that said public s•rvice easements as described herein are
not necessary for present or prospective public use for public utility
purposes and;
WBEREAS,it is the intent of. the Council of the City of Palo Alto to
vacate all those public service easements made surplus by the Greenacres II
Undergrounding Project and described in Exhibit A, and;
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto intends to vacate such
public service easements accordinq to the procedures set forth in California
streets and Highways code Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 4 (Section 8330 et
seq.):

HOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows:
Section l. This. vacation is made under the authority of California
streets and Highways Code Chapter 4 of Par~ 3 of Division 9 of California
Code commancinq at Section 8330 et seq.
§ection 2. The public service easements to b2 vacated and those which
are excepted from the vacation are more particularly described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 3. The council finds that the project is categorically exempt
from the requirements of the califo:nia Environmental Quality Control Act and
no environmental impact assessment is necessary.
Section 4. The City Clerk, acting through the Manager, Real Property,
shall cause a certified copy of this resolution attested by the City Clerk
under seal to be recorded in the off ice of the county Recorder of Santa
Cla;w:a.
Section 5. From and after the date of recordation of this resolution,
said easenient shall be considered vacated.

entitled "Tract No. 948 Green Acres No. 2K recorded May 13,
1952 in ae>ok 36 of Maps at Page 54 and not abandoned in city
of Palo Alto resolution No. 3953 and No~ 3878, I!xcepting
therefrom the s• P.U.E. as shown in Lots 104 and 105 of said
map of tract No. 948 Green Acres No. 2 and the 10' P.U.E. as
shown in LOts 110 through 122 of said map of tract No. 948
