A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE ACQUISITIONS AND
IMPROVEMENTS

The City Council tthe "Council"} of the City of Palo Alto (the .. City"), State of
Califom~ does RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. On Aprll 10. 1989. this Council, in accordance wtth and pursuant to
the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and Section 19 of Article XVI of the State
Constitution. adopted its Reeotution No. 6768, A Resolution of Preliminary Determination
and of Intention to Make Acquisitions and Improvements, wherein It did preliminarily
d9termine that the public convenience and necessity require certain acquisitions and
improvements therein described in general terms;
Section 2. Mon$y May 15, 1989. at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the regular
meeting place of ttits Council. Council Chambers. Cf\ric Center, 250 Hamilton Avenue.
Palo Alto, were aPPC>inted as -the time and place where any and all persons interested
could appear a."ld show cause why this Council should not find and determine that the ·
public convenience and necessity require the proposed acquisitions and improvements
without compllance with Section 2800 and folk>wing of the Streets and Highways Code,
notices of which hearing were duty and regularly posted, mailed and published; and
Section 3. · Said hearinq-was dufy and ragutarty held. and all penwns interested
desfr' .. -ig to ·be heard were given ·an opportunity to be -heard, dOcumentary and oral
testimony on the question of pubfic convenk!mce and necessity were dufy introduced and
fully heard and considered by this CounCU. and an matters and things pertaining to said
question of public convenience and necessJty were submitted and fully considered by
this Council:
Secllon 4. The public convenience and necessity require the proposed
acquisitions and improvements as generatty described in said Resolution of Preliminary
Determination and of Intention to Make Acqufsttlons. and Improvements. -and that Section
2800 and following of the Streets and Highways Code shaR not apply •

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIOH was duty and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of
the Council of the City of Palo Alto held on the · 15 day of May , 1989,
by the following vote:
AYES: Bechtel, Cobb, Fletcher, Klein, Le'Vy, Patitucci,. Renzel, Sutorius, Woolley
NOES: None
ABSTENTIONS: None
ABSENT: None
