RESOLUTION 6757
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
HONORING JOHN D. SUTORIUS
WHEREAS, .John D. (Jack) Sutorius has served as Mayor of Palo
Alto from January 5, 1988, to January 9, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Jack also served as Chairman of the Northern California
Powers Agency during 1988; and
WHEREAS, Jack has very graciously participated in numerous City
functj ons and served as master of ceremonies at various community
events such as the •Leave Y(\ur Car at Home Day," "Celebrate Palo
Alto,• the "Japanese Festival,• and the "Jazz Festival;" and
WHEREAS, Jack represented the City admirably during the many
visits of foreign dignitaries as well as participated in joint meet-
ings with our neighboring communities: and
WHEREAS, Jack's dedication and commitment to the City of !.'alo
Al to are di splayed by his endless energy, good sportsmanship and
availability to his fellow City Council Members, staff, and the
community.
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED, that his colleagues on the City
Council do hereby honor John o. (Jack) Sutorius and convey to him
their appreciation for his many services to the City of Palo Al to
during his term as Mayor.
