RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIJl.TION TO
JEROME A. WILLIAMS
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
ORIGINAL
WHEREAS, Jerome A. Williams retired on January 20, 1989, after
26 years of total service with the Palo Alto Police DepartMent1 and
WHEREAS, Jerome A. Williams was promoted to the rank of Police
Agent in 1976, and Police Sergeant in 1983, in recognition of his
outstanding performance and leadership abilities; and
WHEREAS, Jerome A. Williams has given unselfishly of his time
and talent to provide a. strong •role-model• for new officers as a
Field Training Officer, and as a Police Academy •Tac• Officer; and
WHEREAS, Jerome A. Williams has received numerous citizen and
departmental commendations recognizing his professionalism and
c~IDmitment to service; and
WHEREAS, Jerome A. Williams has pursued his duties with honesty,
enthusiasm, fairness, courtesy and a sense of humor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is proud of his work performance and
appreciates his efforts and dedication.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Palo Al to hereby gratefully records and its appreciation for the
faithful service rendered to this community and extends to Jerome A.
Williams its sincere best wishes for a long and happy retirement.
