ORDINANCE NO. 4759
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO
ALTO AMENDING SECTION 18.08.040 OF THE PALO ALTO
MUNICIPAL CODE (THE ZONING MAP) TO CHANGE THE
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES ON VAN
AUKEN CIRCLE, AMARILLO AVENUE AND GREER ROAD,
WHICH ARE A PORTION OF THAT PROPERTY
KNOWN AS TRACT 796 FROM R-1 TO R-1(S)
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
SECTION 1.
A. The Planning Commission, after duly
hearing held May 29, 2002, has recommended that

be amended as hereinafter set forth; and
B. The City Council, after due consideration of the
recommendation, finds that the proposed amendment is in the
public interest and will promote the public health, safety and
welfare.
SECTION 2. Section 18.08.040 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, the "Zoning Map," is hereby amended by changing the zoning
of a portion of that property known as Tract 796 (the "subject
property") I from \\R-1 Single-family Residence" to "R-1 (S)
Single-family Residence, Single-Story Height Combining. II The
subject property is shown on the map labeled Attachment "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 3. The City Council finds that this project is a
minor alteration to land use limitation exemption from
environmental review under California Environmental Quality Act
guideline 315305.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective on the
thirty-first day after the date of its adoption.
