ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2001-02 TO
PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$75,000 TO ACCEPT A DONATION FROM PEERY & ARRILLAGA
FOUNDATION INTO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) PROJECT
10010, PARK FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 11,
2001 did adopt a budget for fiscal .year 2001-02; and
WHEREAS, Peery & Arrillaga Foundation has provided a $75,000
donation to the City of Palo Alto to install a permanent restroom
facility at Hoover Park; and
WHEREAS, City Council authorization is needed to accept and
expend the donated funds to CIP 10010; and
WHEREAS, the additional appropriation of funds is for one-time
expenditures and no future year General Fund ongoing costs are
anticipated; and
WHEREAS, City Council authorization is needed to amend the
2001-02 budget as hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Revenue in CIP Project Number 10010 is increased
by Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) for receipt of funds from
Peery & Arrillaga Foundation.
SECTION 2. The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000)
is hereby appropriated to Capital Improvement Project Number 10010.
SECTION 3. The transactions above will have no impact on the
Budget zation Reserve.
SECTION 4. As specified in Section 2.28.080 (a) of the Palo
Alto Municipal Code, a two-thirds vote of the City Council is
required to adopt this ordinance.
SECTION 5. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds
that this project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section
15311 of the CEQA guidelines.
SECTION 6. As provided in Section 2.04.350 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code, this ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
