AMENDING SECTION 18.08.040 OF THE PALO ALTO
MUNICIPAL CODE (THE ZONING MAP) TO PREZONE CERTAIN
PROPERTY KNOWN AS 1237-1275 SAN ANTONIO ROAD
TO PF(D) DISTRICT
The Council the ty of Palo Al to does ORDAIN as
SECTION 1.
A. The described in Section 2 of this
ordinance has been proposed for detachment from the City of Los
Altos and annexation to City Palo Alto. Palo Alto Municipal
Code Section 18.98.120 authorizes the Council to determine the
zoning district assi cat and boundaries appropriate for
property located outs the City, but potentially subject to
annexation.
B. The anning Commission, after duly noticed public
hearing held January 14, 1998, has recommended that Section
18.08.040 [the Zoning Map] of the Palo Alto Municipal Code be
amended as hereinafter set forth; and
C. The City Council, after due consideration of the
recommendation, finds that the proposed amendment is in the public
interest and will promote the public health, safety and welfare.
Section 18.08.040 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, the "Zoning Map," is hereby amended by prezoning
property, known as former Los Altos Treatment Plant site (the
"subject property"), to "PF(D) Public Facilities, Site and Design
Review Combining District." The subj ect property consists of
approximately 13.58 acres and is shown on the map labe
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by re rence.
The Council adopts this ordinance in accordance
with the Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) findings set
forth in Council Resolution No. 7940.

SECTION 4. In accordance with the provisions of Palo Alto
Municipal Code Section 18.98.120, this ordinance shall become
effective only upon the effective date of annexation of the subject
property to the City.
