HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-07-14 Ordinance 4796follows: ORDINANCE NO. 4796 ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALTO APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAN IMPROVEMENTS TO TERMAN PARK PALO FOR The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as SECTION 1. Findings and Declarations. finds and declares as follows: The City Council (a) Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto and Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code require that, before any substantial building, construction, reconstruction or development is commenced or approved, upon or with respect to any land held by the City for park purposes, the Council shall first cause to be prepared and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan therefore. (b) Terman Park is dedicated to park purposes. (c) Pursuant to the District's proposals the City capital improvements to Terman specifically the following: Palo Alto Unified School intends to Park (the construct certain "Plan"), including, (1) Widen existing AC pathway from Glenbrook Avenue to Terman School property to 10' wide from existing 8' wide. (2) Per Palo Alto Fire Department (PAFD) requirements, remove benches and trees adjacent to tennis courts and install additional paving in order to widen fire access road. (3) Existing Unisex toilet identified for CPA/Community use. (4) At bus turnaround, demolish portion of existing paving, relocate existing exterior light. (5) Demolish existing circular planter to accommodate school bus turn around radius and increase PAFD road access. (6) Demolish portion of existing sidewalk, install sloped walk and new curb in order to accommodate 45'-0' school bus turning radius requirements. (7) Proposed new security gate to restrict vehicular access during school hours. (8) Arastradero Road sidewalk widening. 030721 sm 0053246 1 (d) The more specifically Exhibit "A".
