ORDINANCE NO. 4849
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY· OF PALO
ALTO AMENDING SECTION 18.08.040 OF THE PALO ALTO
MUNICIPAL CODE (THE ZONING MAP) TO CHANGE THE
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES ON ALLEN
COURT, A PORTION OF THAT PROPERTY KNOWN AS
TRACT 1137 FROM R-1 TO R-1{S)
The. Council of the City of Palo Al to does ORDAIN as
SECTION 1.
A. The Planning Commission, after duly noticed
hearing held September 29, 2004, has recommended that section
18.08.040 [the zoning Map] of the Palo Alto Municipal Code be
amended as hereinafter set forth; and
B. The City Council, after due consideration of the
recommendation, finds that the proposed amendment is in the
public interest and will promote the public health, safety and
welfare.
SECTION 2. Section 18.08.040 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, the "Zoning Map,1I is hereby amended by changing the zoning
of a portion of that property known as Allen Court Tract 1137
(the "subject property II ), from "R-1 Single-family Residencell to
"R-1(S) Single-family Residence, Single-Story Height Combining./I
The subject property is shown on the map labeled Attachment "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 3. The City Council finds that this project is a
minor aiteration to land use limitation exemption from
environmental review under California Environmental Quality Act
guideline section 15305.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective on the
thirty-first day after the date of its adoption.
