ORDINANCE NO. 4864
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO
ALTO AMENDING SECTIONS 22.04.310 AND 22.08.330
OF CHAPTERS 22.04 AND 22.08 OF TITLE 22 OF THE
PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE ENID
PEARSON ARASTRADERO PRESERVE
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
SECTION 1. Section 22.04.310 of Chapter 22.04 of Title
22 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
22.04.310 Enid Pearson Arastradero Preserve, Esther
Clark Park closed from sunset until 8:00 a.m.
Enid Pearson Arastradero Preserve, and Esther Clark Park
shall be closed from sunset (the actual time of closure to be
designated by the City Manager in park regulations and posted
accordingly) until 8:00 a.m. the following morning. No person
shall remain in these park and open space lands, other than duly
authorized city employees and permit holders or participants in
city-sponsored activities, during the hours of closure.
SECTION 2. Section 22.08.330 of Chapter 22. OB of Title
22 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
22.08.330 Enid Pearson Arastradero Preserve.
Those certain parcels of land known as the Enid Pearson
Arastradero Preserve as delineated and described in Exhibit A-
21.9* attached hereto are reserved for park, playground,
recreation and/or conservation purposes.
The parcels shall serve as a regional trailhead facility
for three regional trails, the Matadero Creek/Page Mill Trail
(Sl Trail), the San Francisqui to/Los Trancos Creek Trail (Cl
Trail), and the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail
(Rl-A Trail), designated in the County of Santa Clara Countywide
Trails Master Plan, and access to these trails shall be gained
on foot and by horse or bicycle.
SECTION 3. The Council finds that this is not a project
under the California Environmental Quality Act and, therefore,
no environmental impact assessment is necessary.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective on the
thirty-first day after the date of its adoption.
