ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008
TO AMEND THE TABLE OF ORGANIZATION TO REINSTATE
THE DEPUTY CITY MANAGER SPECIAL PROJECTS
CLASSIFICATION
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Findings and Declarations. The City Council finds and declares as
A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the Charter of the
City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 11, 2007, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 2007-08,
including a table of organization describing the staffing for each department; and
B. One staffing adjustment, the addition of the classification of Deputy City
Manager Special Projects, requires an amendment to the table of organization.
C. City Council authorization is needed to amend the 2007-2008 budget as
SECTION 2. The Table of Organization is hereby amended to reflect the
addition of the Deputy City Manager Special Projects classification as shown in Exhibit D,
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. This change does not impact
reserves or the budget as previously approved by the Council.
SECTION 3. As specified in Section 2.28.080(b) of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, a majority vote of the City Council is required to adopt this ordinance.
SECTION 4. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds that this
amendment to the Table of Organization is not a project under the California Environmental
Quality Act and, therefore, no environmental impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION 5. As provided in Section 2.04.330 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code,
this ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
