ORDINANCE NO. 2538
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2507 (ADOPTING 19691970 -
BUDGET) TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED
POSITIONS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of
Article III of -the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council
did on June 23, 1969 adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1969-
1970; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to increase the number of
personnel authorized by said budget in. order to establish a
program for industrial waste control and to begin the construction
phase of the Regional Wastewater Treatment Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That the list of authorized positions for the
Water -Gas -Sewer Department be amended to add:
Number. Class Title
1 Chief Water Quality Control
Plant Operator
1 Water Quality Control Chemist
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Chapter and
Section 2 04.375 of, the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
