HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2520• • ORIGINAL : ; ORDINANCE NO. 2520 ORD ;_:NANCE OF' THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE REFLECTING TECHNICAL CHANGES DUE TO STATE -LEGISLATION, SALE OF THE HOSPITAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE . \ CHANGES The Council of the City of Palo Alto_ does ORDAIN as fol- lows: SECTION 1. That S~ction 2.04.260 of the Palo Alto Murticipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 11 2.C-4.260 Committee on finance. It shall be the duty of the committee on finance to meet on the third Tuesday of each month at seven-thirty p.m •. at the city hall and to consider and make recom­ mendations on matters referred to it by the council relating to finance, budget, appropriations, audits, Capital Improvement Fund, General Obligation Bond Issues and Public Utilities." ·SECTION 2. That Section 2.04.290 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby repealed. SECTION 3. That subsection (4) of Section 2.08.120 is hereby amended to read·· as follows:,- 11 ( 4) He shall have authority-to appoint deputies and assistants in accordance with control procedures established for that purpose and administered by the division of personnel1 provided-that the_ appointment of the senior assistant city-attorney: -:3hall be approved by at least a majority of the council. n · SECTION 4. SECTION 7. Th•t Sectidn 4.42.160 is hereby repealed. SECTION 8. That subsection (1) of Section 4.42.190 is hereby amended t6 read as follows: . "(1} A11y person under the age of twenty-one years.11 • SECTION 9. That sections 4.42.310 and 4.42.320 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code are hereby repealed~ SECTION 10. That section 4.42.390 is hereby amended to read as follows: 11 4.42.390 owner's E?ermit fees. ·No owner's permit shall be issued or continue in operation until and unless the applicant has paid to the city treasurer of the city of Palo Alto the following fees: For one taxicab per year . For each additional taxicab per year Temporary permit per day For each limited permit per'year For each sight~seeing automobile or public transportation vehicle per year $100.00 10.00 1.00 25.00 5.00" SECTION 11. This ordinance shall become effective upon the expiration of thirty days from its passage.
